History

Graduate Student Services began in the mid-90's as a function of the UA Center for Teaching and Learning currently located in Osband Hall. It was birthed out of a need to provide more specialized services to the unique needs of the graduate student population. Since then, services have aimed at helping graduate students succeed academically, professionally, and personally. We have held true to that mission by providing intellectual development based services, life skills training, and enrichment for professional development needs.

The Office of Graduate Student Services became a living, breathing entity within the Division of Student Life in the early 2000's and is now housed as a function of the Office of Student Involvement, located in 3610 Ferguson Center.

Office of Graduate Student Services seeks to continue to provide broad-based involvement services to graduate students in an effort to improve their overall "quality of life". In cooperation with the campus community, the Graduate School, and the Tuscaloosa community, Graduate Student Services aims to make your time at UA the best it can possibly be.
