The University of Alabama Graduate Student Association (as known as GSA) acts as an advocate and resource for all graduate and professional students on the University of Alabama campus. They have been instrumental in recent years in lobbying for health care for graduate assistants, reform of parking policies, and equity in campus dining options.

The Mission of the Graduate Student Association (GSA) is to serve the graduate student population by:

  • Acting as an advocate for growth and positive change
  • Developing a support system within the graduate community
  • Increasing the awareness of graduate student issues/needs through partnerships and collaborations.
