Before you apply . . .

The R & T Application is an online process. The system WILL NOT allow you to save incomplete applications and return to the system, so be prepared with your information.

Please allow for the proper time to complete your application and have the following items available:

1. You must agree to the Terms and Conditions Section and check the box indicating you have read all guidelines and procedures before entering the application

2. You will be asked to provide general demographic information including your Name, Mailing Address, CWID, Email Address, etc.

3. You will be asked to provide the Name and Email Address of your Academic Program Advisor and your Departmental Accounting Official.

4. You will be asked to provide a COMPLETE Budget of all expected expenses for your research or travel. The system will notify your advisor of these guidelines and ask them to confirm your application via an email link. They must verify this information through email prior to your application moving to the next step.

5. A typed statement of purpose for conference or research not to exceed one page. APPLICANT MUST UPLOAD THIS DOCUMENT INTO THE APPROPRIATE SECTION OF THE ONLINE APPLICATION and can be uploaded in .PDF, .DOC, or .DOCX formats.

6. A one-page letter of support from your committee chair or advisor. APPLICANT MUST UPLOAD THIS DOCUMENT INTO THE APPROPRIATE SECTION OF THE ONLINE APPLICATION and can be uploaded in .PDF, .DOC, or .DOCX formats.  Letter of support must be signed by advisor to authenticate.  So, you will need to scan the document or get an electronic copy w/ signature.

7. If attending a conference, an abstract or information indicating that you have been accepted to said conference to present scholarly work, etc. is also encouraged.

8. GROUP APPLICATIONS ARE ALLOWED. A group is considered 4 or more people. To apply as a group, just one person will need to submit the application. Once you are in the application, then there is a section that asks you to list the names of your group members. All expenses will need to be factored as a group.
